Accessibility Statement
Our Commitment
Juiceworks Ltd is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of disability, assistive technology, or how you choose to access the web. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standard in full.
We recognise our obligations under the UK Equality Act 2010, which requires us to make reasonable adjustments to ensure disabled people can access our services. We also support the principles of the European Accessibility Act (EAA), which came into force in June 2025 and applies to private sector businesses offering services within EU member states.
How Accessible This Website Is
This website has been built from the ground up with accessibility in mind. The following features are in place across all pages:
- All pages have a single, descriptive
<h1>heading and a logical heading hierarchy throughout the content. - Every image has a descriptive alternative text, or is marked as decorative where appropriate.
- All form fields have visible labels that are programmatically associated with their input.
- A visible skip link is provided at the top of every page to allow keyboard users to bypass navigation.
- All interactive elements — including navigation, brand tabs, product filters, modal dialogs and the cookie preferences panel — are fully operable by keyboard alone.
- The product detail modal on the Brands page implements a complete ARIA dialog pattern, including focus trapping, focus return on close, and Escape-key dismissal.
- Text colour contrast meets or exceeds the WCAG 2.2 AA minimum ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text across all pages and colour combinations.
- The site is fully responsive and does not rely on a specific orientation or screen size.
- All pages declare their language (
lang="en") for correct screen reader pronunciation. - Status messages — including form submission success and error notifications — are announced to screen readers using
aria-liveregions without requiring focus to move. - The cookie preferences panel uses explicit accessible names for all toggle controls.
- The site respects the
prefers-reduced-motionsystem setting; users who have enabled this preference will see reduced or removed animations. - Page titles are unique and descriptive across all 12 pages.
- Scroll padding is set to prevent the sticky navigation bar from obscuring keyboard-focused elements (WCAG 2.2 criterion 2.4.11).
Known Limitations
We are not aware of any features that are inaccessible by design. However, the following areas have not yet been fully verified through live manual testing with assistive technologies and browser combinations, and may contain issues we have not yet identified:
- Screen reader interaction with the product modal — the ARIA markup is in place, but behaviour under all screen reader and browser combinations (NVDA + Chrome, VoiceOver + Safari, JAWS + Edge) has not been fully tested.
- Contact form validation announcements — error messages are marked up with
role="alert"andaria-live, but the timing and consistency of announcements across all screen readers is subject to runtime behaviour and has not been exhaustively tested. - Third-party content — this site may display content from Google Maps (contact page) and Elfsight (Google Reviews widget). We do not control the accessibility of content provided by these third parties and cannot guarantee it meets WCAG 2.2 AA. Users who experience difficulty with this content can contact us for an alternative.
We are actively working to address these limitations. If you encounter a barrier not described above, please tell us — your feedback directly drives our improvements.

Technical Information
Juiceworks Ltd is committed to making this website accessible in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, Level AA. This website is built using standard HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. No specialist accessibility overlay tools or third-party widgets have been used to artificially enhance accessibility scores.
How We Tested This Website
This website was assessed through a combination of automated code analysis and manual inspection of all 12 pages. Testing covered:
- Colour contrast across all text and UI component colour combinations
- Keyboard navigability of all interactive components
- ARIA role, name, and value correctness
- Heading structure and landmark regions
- Form labelling and error handling markup
- Image alternative text across all pages
- Focus management in modal dialogs
- Responsive behaviour at 320px viewport width
Full manual browser and screen reader testing is ongoing. This statement will be updated as that testing is completed.
What We Are Doing to Improve
We review this website and its accessibility at least once per year, or whenever significant changes are made. Our next full review is scheduled for April 2027. We will update this statement following each review.
Ongoing work includes completing manual screen reader testing across NVDA, VoiceOver, and JAWS, and reviewing any third-party components for accessibility impact as they are updated.
